QBack-25S Intelligent HAB (Hands-Free Auto Backup) Storage Enclosure is the SATA edition of QNAP's automatic file backup series. It is a simple-to-use, speedy, and secure automatic backup solution which supports enhanced data protection by AES 256-bit encryption. The exclusive QBack backup software is provided with multiple backup modes: Auto Backup, Schedule Backup, Instant Backup, and One touch button Backup. Moreover, QBack supports Instant Restore function, you can restore data to the original or specified directories in a few clicks. Besides, QBack provides an intelligent function that you can specify the action to take when a restore file is different from the original file, e.g., skip the file and continue, and restore all files regardless of the differences.

4 Backup Modes

Auto Backup
The Auto Backup function enables automatic backup of data in your computer drives, My Documents, Desktop, and Favorites to QBack-25S. All the data will be mirrored to QBack device in real-time.
Schedule Backup
With Schedule Backup, you can set daily, weekly, or monthly schedule for QBack to back up selected files and folders.
Instant Backup
Instant Backup is another powerful function for immediate backup of all selected files.
One-Touch-Button Backup (OTB)
The one touch copy button backup enables you to press the one touch button and copy all the files and folders specified in Instant Backup to the QBack device.

Most secure AES 256-bit data encryption and anti-shock design

• AES 256-bit data encryption: The hard drive on QBack-25S can be portioned as Public disk and Secure Disk. The Secure disk is protected by AES 256-bit encryption and can only be accessed by authorized password.
• Anti-shock design: The hard drive on QBack-25S is protected by PCB bubble and the shockproof pads on the four corners of the drive. Any impact on the drive due to unintentional dropping or shaking will be minimized.

Incremental backup to reduce waiting time
Incremental backup is featured in all backup modes of QBack. After the first time backup, only modified and newly created files are copied to the backup device. This significantly reduces the effort and time taken by mass data copy. Usually it takes about 30 minutes to transfer 20GB data from a PC/notebook to a USB 2.0 backup device, 50 minutes for 30GB data, and over one hour for 40GB data. With the support of incremental backup feature, it takes less 2 minutes for the same 20GB data. 3 minutes for the same 30GB data, 4 minutes for 40GB data transfer.

Effortless e-mail data backup
By just a few clicks, you can back up mail data from and restore the data to Outlook Express, Outlook, and Windows Mail. The information that can be backed up by QBack includes tasks, notes, calendar, messages in inbox, sent, draft, junk, and deleted folders, and contacts etc.

Fast data transfer rate
The backup data is transferred from PC/notebook to QBack-25S through USB 2.0 interface to save backup time.

Simple to install/ Easy-to-use
The QBack software is designed with an intuitive and user-friendly interface. All backup modes and restore function can be configured in a few simple steps.

No additional power cords
Power for the QBack-25S is supported by the USB 2.0 port on the PC/notebook. No additional power cord is required.

Optional 2.5" SATA hard drive of your choice
The 2.5" hard disk is not included in the standard package of the QBack-25S.

Smart capacity detection of backup file size
The capacity of total files selected for backup and the free drive space available on QBack-25S are calculated before backup is executed to guarantee successful data copy.

Ignore errors and automatic shutdown
QBack supports ignoring errors during backup and automatic shutdown after backup completes. Errors are recorded in event logs for reference.

Secure disk management
Can remove and open Secure disk anytime. Files saved in Secure disk will be encrypted automatically using AES 256-bit.

Q-Filter
Q-filter enables user to select the file types to be excluded from backup.

Event management
The event logs record actions taken by QBack and can be exported for reference.

Q-Mail archiving
QBack can intelligently find mail directory of Outlook, Outlook Express, and Windows Mail. The emails and contacts can be backed up and restored in a few steps.
